This is a picture of some of what I ate Saturday & Sunday after the show (click here if you missed the recap). I didn't take pictures at the two restaurants Max & I hit up because I feel really weird taking pictures of food in public.
Funfetti-batter pancakes with whipped cream and peanut butter mixed with maple syrup =)
Mac & cheese with extra string cheese melted over the top...
Chocolate chunk granola in vanilla-coconut flavored yogurt (not Greek yogurt, just regular, sugary, wonderful yogurt)
Vanilla-on-vanilla cupcake =D
Homemade French toast with whipped cream, sugar-free strawberry jelly (I know I'm gross, I like the taste of Splenda!), and a wedge of Laughing Cow cream cheese.
Chocolate-on-chocolate cupcake =D
I gained QUITE a bit of water weight from all of this deliciousness. =) As of Monday, though, I hopped back on a version of my pre-contest diet (with more carbs and more overall calories) because I'd really rather not gain back ALL of the weight I lost. I want a nice, long, slow, productive off-season, so I'm tapering back up to maintenance calories.

NICEEEEEEE! Funfetti for the win!!! :D
ReplyDeleteMix of breakfast foods and desserts...a girl after my own heart! Hope you enjoyed every single bite :)
ReplyDeleteOh I did!!!
DeleteYUM. Every single food on here. I hope you enjoyed all of this. :D This cracked me up --> "Not Greek yogurt, just regular, sugary, wonderful yogurt." LOL too funny. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI have GOT to try funfetti pancakes! I'm on this pancake-kick and am always looking for new ways to make them..thanks :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA! I totally know what you mean about taking pictures of foot in public...It always depends on what type of restaurant I'm at and who's sitting around me if I'll take pictures or not ;) And All of this food looks like my version of heaven. Funfetti pancakes? Cupcakes?!? AHHH I just ate breakfast but now I want all that :)
ReplyDeleteLol! I said the same thing, but I keep finding things creeping into my diet that aren't supposed to be there. :) Have a good week of getting strength back. Give it another week of adding calories and carbs back in and you'll in beast mode!
ReplyDeleteAh I hope I can stick with it =) I really want to be able to stretch this bulk out over ~9 months or more and I've gotta gain slowly to do that!
Deletethat all looks delicious (and well-deserved!). i saw a male competitor after the show i attended in GA eat an ENTIRE BAG of Oreos (vanilla - what a waste!) and a jog of milk. i can't wait for my post show. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....I'm so hungry right now....
ReplyDeleteT.
:-) YUM!
ReplyDeleteI vote a quadruple thumbs up to all debauchery pictured therein.
ReplyDeleteAt what rate do you taper up your calories? I'm trying to eat more (after undereating), combined with weightlifting and I'm not sure if I should / can increase faster. Right now I've been doing about 100-150 more / week (i.e. hold daily totals about level for a week and then bump it up for the next week).
ReplyDeleteYou're awesome - congratulations on everything!
Jess
Thank you Jess! =) I am short and small and have a pretty bad metabolism and I have had success in the past with increasing calories by 150 a week. I bet you could get away with more =)
DeleteOff to check out the recap post! But wanted to say what a delightfully sinful day you had :)
ReplyDeleteYUM! Best post ever, LOL.
ReplyDeleteSorry I am not sorry but I love sugar free, artifically sweetened crap too :P Choose our poisons, I say!
ReplyDeleteAnd my God, you deserved some post-contest fun!
xxx
I don't even know where to start here, it all looks so good!
ReplyDeleteI'll take that cupcake. And those pancakes - anything funfetti is amazing.
Super yumminess!! All of that looks so good. And I thought I was the only one that mixed peanut butter with maple (or some cheap, but tasty) syrup!! We put it on ice cream as a kid, ah the memories. ;o)
ReplyDeleteEvery since you brought it up, I've been wanting to try making pancakes out of cake mix, Oh my!! I'll refrain for now though. I have a good thing going with my low carb plan, and I want to keep the trend. Maybe I'll try the 'cakecakes' for my birthday in January!! With a dollop of homemade cream cheese frosting. Mmmm!
Take care,
HeatherInTX :O) ~~~
That all looks awesome and delicious! Go you!
ReplyDeleteI love post comp food posts! So much YUM!
ReplyDeleteLove this. Bet everything tasted soooo good. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late to "the party" and soooo behind on my reading, but I finally am caught up on your last week and all I can say is WOW!!! You look amazing, beautiful, confident, strong, and brilliant. From my perspective here at age 45, I've enjoyed following your journey because you are just head and shoulders above so many of your peers (even at your height!) You are mature beyond your years in so many ways and I know Max, your family, and friends have to be bursting with pride over you. Congratulations on all you have accomplished and shared and I look forward to more adventures of Sable!!
