Happy with where I am

As you all know I set out about 6 weeks ago to lose some fat I packed on during my bulking cycle. I initially wanted to get down to about 122-124lbs.

Well.

As of today I am 128lbs and I think this is where I'm going to stay.

This is what I look like today:

And this, if you don't remember (or can't see a difference? lol) is what I looked like a month ago:

And I managed to take a decent side-shot pic today! Check it out, this is what I currently look like in profile:

So yes, I do still have a little fat in the lower quadrants of my abdomen. No, you can't see my abs. But here's the thing: this weight is going to be incredibly easy for me to maintain. (And...um...winning: I'm a size 4 at 10lbs more than I was a size 4 at last summer.) I'm not competing. I don't want to be a fitness model. I look good. I'm healthy. That's all I need or want.

Starting next week I'm going to be tapering my calories back up to maintenance (2,200 a day! Yeah baby!) at a rate of 100 calories/week. (This prevents bloating and allows your body to adapt.)

So yeah, that's where I'm at. I hope I haven't horribly disappointed anyone by not getting ALL the way down to my goal ;-) (That's a joke guys. I know y'all are awesome!)

Happy Friday!

  3. Thank you guuuuys!!

@Becca: This is totally crazy to me haha. I was shocked when I was a size 4 at 118 last year -- in the past when I have had no muscle I've been a size 4 at like, 105ish...and this whole size 4 at 128 is BLOWING my mind right now. I was convinced my scale was wrong (so then I weighed myself on 4 different scales at work. It's accurate haha)

  10. Hi Sable! You look great! Yes, it's amazing that we can be a smaller size with a higher weight due to weightlifting and other similar exercises.

Women always ask me how many pounds they will lose from heavy weightlifting. I tell them that it is not the right question. They could lose many *inches*, even if they stay the same weight. That's a huge relief for some who don't feel they can lose weight and a big disappointment for others whose whole goal is to lose weight.

I am two sizes smaller than when I weighed 20 pounds less.

    :-) Marion

  16. Sable, it is all about feeling comfortable with yourself & what works for you so I am thrilled that you are there & happy! Many women can't say that! I readily admit that I have to work very hard to be where I am at & not easy to maintain but for me, I am fine with that for now.

    Keep being happy! :-)

  24. You look fantastic!! I'm the same exact why..I think I'll always have that little lower belly pooch no matter what. I once had abs..except it was when I was starving myself and working out all the time. It was nice and all, but I'd much rather sport the pooch rather than starve it away again.
